Welcome to WebCatalogue.com, where we would like to explain our Internet publishing and ordering system to you.
Developed directly for our clients, our WebCatalogue software is an easy-to-use solution for publishing catalogues on the Internet and on CD, supplemented by online ordering and quotation forms.
Our customers are small and medium companies - manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters, but also real estate agents, arts and collectibles dealers and more.
We built our first WebCatalogue system in early 1996 as a custom solution for an export company. It was a custom Windows program for our client to input product data and images, and to generate their website on the office PC.
This site could be viewed and verified on the office PC before being uploaded to the actual Internet server, and also copied to CDs and air mailed to their customers.
More clients followed soon, and in 1997 we started developing the current WebCatalogue version 2.0 including our own object database, which went into service in late 1999.
We are using our software as very sophisticated design and development tools to build websites, populate them with an initial set of products, and then hand part of the software (the WebCatalogue "Publisher") over to our clients.
From then on our clients use it from their office PCs to expand their sites by themselves continuously with more product categories and products.
This approach has many advantages - while we use all the features of our software to design complex sites capable of holding many thousand pages and images, our clients only need to know how to add more products and categories, and maybe edit a block of text to update the company news section.
After we finish the initial design and setup, all the website design information is stored in a set of templates and common images in the database. Changing the look of a website can simply be done by updating the templates and images.
Although this system took many programming years to develop, it is designed to be very easy to use for our clients, which also saves us time on email support. Please look through this site and see if your business could profit from one of our WebCatalogues.
Best Regards,
The WebCatalogue Team
